6mm Shank Router Bits
6mm shank router bits are compact metric bits for light routing, trimming, small edge profiles and detail work. They are useful when the router or trim router is designed around a 6mm collet and the cut does not require a larger shank.
Choose 6mm bits for smaller profiles, shallow passes and controlled cuts in wood, MDF, plywood and related materials. For larger diameter profiles or heavy router table work, consider 8mm, 12mm or 1/2 inch shanks if your machine supports them.
Always match the shank exactly to the collet, keep the bit clean and avoid pushing small shank tooling through heavy cuts in one pass.
