Glass, Tile and Marble Drill Bits
Glass, tile and marble drill bits are made for fragile hard surfaces where ordinary wood or metal bits can chip, crack or skate across the material. They are used for installation holes, fixture mounting, cabinet work near tile and decorative hard-surface projects.
Choose by diameter, tip style, drilling depth and the exact surface you are drilling. Some materials need cooling water, light pressure and a slow start to protect the edge of the hole.
Mark the center carefully, keep the bit controlled and avoid hammer action unless the bit and material specifically allow it.
