Handheld Router Bits
Handheld router bits are selected for portable routers, trim routers and freehand or guide-assisted woodworking cuts. They are commonly used for edge work, light grooves, trimming, small profiles and on-site cabinet adjustments.
Choose by shank size, cutting diameter, profile type, bearing design and the power of the router being used. Compact routers work best with smaller bits and lighter passes, while larger profiles often need a table or heavier machine.
Secure the workpiece, keep both hands controlled and avoid deep cuts in a single pass when routing by hand.
