The MCRT20 Large Arc Chamfer Bit shapes a broad, softened radius on carbon crystal panels and similar decorative board materials. It is intended for finished panel details where a large curved transition is preferred over a sharp chamfer or square edge.
Applications
- Large-radius edge details on decorative wall and cabinet panels
- Prepared panel edges for a softer finished appearance
- Repeatable curved profiles made with a controlled router or machine setup
Choose and Set Up Carefully
Confirm the required edge profile, the cutter connection and the thickness of the panel before routing. Decorative boards can have different surface layers and cores, so the best pass depth and feed rate should always be established on an offcut before working on a visible face.
Routing Tips
Keep the panel fully supported and use a fence, guide or programmed path for a consistent profile. Take controlled passes rather than forcing a deep cut. Inspect the surface after each pass and adjust the setup if the coating, laminate or edge begins to chip.
