I140_01 CNC 3-Flute Roughing End Mill, 6x45x90mm, Uncoated is for high-volume material removal in CNC wood and panel machining. Its roughing geometry is intended to break material into manageable chips before a finishing operation where the project requires a cleaner final surface.
Applications
- Roughing pockets, profiles and panel components before finishing
- CNC cabinet and furniture production with secure workholding
- Controlled stock removal where effective chip evacuation is important
Before Machining
Confirm the cutter dimensions, holder fit, available machine clearance and work material. Program a roughing toolpath with appropriate step-over, pass depth, feed rate and spindle speed. Use a sample or first-article test to confirm chip formation and machine stability before production work.
Machining Tips
Keep workholding rigid and clear chips effectively. Leave suitable material for a finishing pass when edge quality matters. Monitor the first run for heat, vibration or chatter, and adjust the program rather than forcing the cutter through the material.
