Listed specifications

Choose BCRT8

The title identifies a 20 mm bit with counterbore and straight bits. Use the listed bit size to match the planned recess, then verify the complete set configuration before ordering. The public listing does not state the shank size, cutting height, overall length or recommended speed. Confirm these details with BitsRouter when your machine or setup requires them.

Compare the BCRT series

BCRT8 and BCRT9 list one main bit size with counterbore and straight bits. BCRT12 lists four sizes in one set. Do not assume that an unstated shank size or piece count matches another model.

Setup and test cut

• Confirm the shank, collet engagement and machine clearance for every bit that you plan to use.
• Check the recess size, depth, workholding and base clearance before starting the machine.
• Use the machine and cutter supplier limits for speed, feed and cutting depth because the listing does not publish those values.
• Make a shallow test cut in matching scrap, then check the recess size, flatness, edge and chip clearance.
