The I142_07 Keyhole Cutter creates keyhole-shaped mounting slots for workpieces that hang over a screw head and slide securely into position. It is a practical choice for wall-hung cabinets, frames, signs, display panels and shop fixtures where the mounting hardware should stay concealed.
Applications
- Wall-mounted cabinets, shelves and fitted panels
- Concealed hanging points for signs, frames and fixtures
- Repeatable slots cut with a jig, fence or CNC toolpath
Setup and Fit
Confirm that the 6 mm threaded connection fits your holder or spindle system. Lay out each slot from the screw centreline, then make a test cut in scrap. The larger opening must clear the screw head, while the narrow section must hold the workpiece once it drops into place.
Use Safely
Clamp the work securely, keep the cutter path aligned with a guide or template and clear chips between passes. Always test the finished slot with the actual mounting screw before routing a visible part.
