Choose a profile

Measure the existing slot or joint, then compare the labelled cutting width and length with the required fit. Confirm that your router collet accepts an 8 mm shank and that the cutter, bearing and workpiece will clear the guard and table. Do not select a size from the product colour alone; use the dimension drawing for the specific profile.

Test cut and safe use

Secure a matching scrap board and make a shallow test pass before routing a cabinet, shelf or joinery component. Follow the router and cutter manufacturer’s speed, feed, guarding and installation instructions rather than relying on a generic speed table. Inspect the bearing and cutting edges before each use and stop if the tool vibrates, overheats or is damaged.
